Active harmonic filters work by constantly monitoring the power system. If there is a harmoney current it is identified and if detected, a filter is able to create a harnoney current that is opposite to the differing currents active within the system. This approach also powers up the general quality of supply and improves the working of electrical systems, decreases energy waste, and prolongs the lifecycle of appliances. This technology has applications of particular importance in renewable energy sources, manufacturing industrial units and data centers; their operation requires a high level of power quality characteristics.
