Comprehensive Power Quality Management Effect at the 400V

Features: The characteristic of long cables causing voltage instability is significant voltage drop and phase delay, while the characteristic of compensation management is the need for real-time monitoring and adjustment to address dynamic load changes and various power quality issues.

Comprehensive Power Quality Management Effect at the 400V

Project background: The power supply line is too long, causing low voltage issues at the end of the line, leading to load alarms, shutdowns, and an inability to maintain normal production at the endpoint. At an auto parts manufacturing plant in Nanjing, the distance from the park’s distribution room to the plant’s distribution room ranges from 700 to 850 meters. Voltage readings from various instruments in the plant’s distribution room show a noticeable drop . The distance from the distribution room to the power cabinet is between 100 and 150 meters, and from the power cabinet to the farthest production equipment, it’s about 50 to 80 meters. The excessive length of the power supply lines is the direct cause of the low voltage issue.

After installing the 400V 750A comprehensive power quality management device at the end of the line, the same test was conducted on the system using a power quality analyzer. The test results are shown . From the data, it is evident that after the installation of the end-of-line power quality management device, the system’s line voltage increased from the original 350.36V to 376.48V. The improvement is significant, and the MAKINO J6 auto parts production equipment is operating smoothly, with no alarms or shutdowns.
